The new partnership between John B. Strong and Katrick Technologies aims to facilitate the startup’s scaling efforts and market entry in the US. By attracting prospective commercial partners, they plan to deliver their cutting-edge Wind Panel technology to a broader audience.
Katrick Technologies is dedicated to accelerating the transition to renewable energy with a suite of innovative technologies. Their flagship product, the modular and scalable Wind Panels, is designed to efficiently harness ground-level wind energy. These patented honeycomb-shaped panels feature independently oscillating aerofoils within a ducted system, effectively capturing the turbulent nature of ground-level winds. The versatile Wind Panels can be deployed in various locations, including hillsides, roadways, airports, and ports, providing carbon-free electricity.
As part of their mission to revolutionize renewable energy, UK-based Katrick Technologies has enlisted the expertise of American technology industry veteran John B. Strong. Known for his commitment to environmentally and socially conscious technology ventures, Strong has co-founded Meditech business Medicine Box and invested in numerous companies, including battery manufacturer Flow Aluminum, edge-to-cloud infrastructure provider Particle, sustainable blockchain provider Devvio, and methane remediation firm TS-Nano.
“Katrick Technologies’ new Wind Panel technology is an exciting innovation in the capture and use of an untapped form of wind energy,” said John B. Strong. “Its aesthetic design is easily envisioned across the varied landscape here in the US, and their team is well-prepared to make this vision a reality.”
In his advisory role to Vijay Madlani, CEO of Katrick Technologies, Strong will support the company’s efforts to penetrate the US market. “This collaboration represents a bold new direction for Katrick Technologies as we move closer to launching our final product. We have always viewed America as a key market for our Wind Panel technology, and with John B. Strong’s support, we are confident in our potential to positively impact the American renewable energy landscape.”
Katrick Technologies' Wind Panels are currently under development, but the company has already secured a 3,000-unit soft order from Edinburgh Airport. They are also engaging with UK and European-based global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to build, sell, and distribute their technology. With the backing of their new collaboration and Brook Capital’s increased investment, Katrick Technologies is now poised to establish a strong presence in the US market and secure commercial agreements with American OEMs.
